WARRANTY TERMS AND CONDITIONS (на английском)

TEFCOLD offers either a spare parts warranty or an extended warranty that covers service and parts in certain countries. The extended warranty normally covers a period of 1-2 years. The warranty period starts on the date the appliance is purchased from TEFCOLD. Prices and response times vary from country to country.

 

1 APPLICATION

1.1 This warranty declaration is provided by TEFCOLD A/S, VAT no. DK10016371) (hereinafter referred to as "TEFCOLD") in accordance with the agreement concerning the supply of goods (hereinafter referred to as "Goods") between TEFCOLD and the Purchaser.
1.2 This warranty declaration is understood and interpreted based on TEFCOLD A/S’ Terms of Sale and Delivery. TEFCOLD A/S’ Terms of Sale and Delivery are applicable in connection herewith.

 

SPARE PART WARRANTY, 12-MONTHS 

2 SPARE PARTS WARRANTY

2.1 The 12-month spare parts warranty included in the purchase price applies to spare parts only and does not cover:
2.1.1 manufacturing errors or cosmetic defects not notified at the time of delivery;
2.1.2 any claim regarding the call-out of a technician where either no defect or only a minor defect or defects that can be resolved locally using instruction manual, was/were ascertained; 
2.1.3 any work relating to refrigerant leakage unless the leak was discovered before charging the system with the stated volume of refrigerant. If no refrigerant leak is traced, TEFCOLD must be notified; 
2.1.4 shelves, trays, handles, glass, batteries, paintwork, plastics, light bulbs, fluorescent tubes, fuses and gaskets if not claimed on delivery (see also 2.1.2 and 2.2.1);  
2.1.5 any permanent fitting of a piercing valve. The use of a schrader valve with cap and of a decant vac-pump and weighing machine to re-establish correct charge will only be covered if the Purchaser has obtained TEFCOLD’s prior written consent regarding such repairs; and
2.1.6 consumables and working parts.
2.2 TEFCOLD is not liable for the Goods' failure to comply with the warranty set out in condition 2.1. in any of the following circumstances:
2.2.1 the defect occurred because the Purchaser failed to follow TEFCOLD’s instructions (verbal or in writing) regarding the storage, commissioning, installation, use and maintenance of the Goods. In such cases, the Purchaser is liable to ensure the exercise of good trading practices at the time of delivery or otherwise (if this was not the case); 
2.2.2 the defect occurred as a result of TEFCOLD’s following any drawing, design or specification supplied by the Purchaser; 
2.2.3 the Purchaser has altered or repaired the Goods in question without TEFCOLD’s prior written consent; 
2.2.4 the defect arose as a result of wear and tear, wilful damage, negligence, or unsuitable storage or working conditions; or
2.2.5 the Goods differ from their description or any applicable specification as a result of changes made to ensure they comply with applicable statutory or regulatory requirements.

2.3. Unless otherwise stated in this warranty declaration, TEFCOLD shall have no liability vis-à-vis the Purchaser if the Goods fail to comply with the warranty set out in condition 2.1 and 2.2.

 

EXTENDED WARRANTY, 1-2 YEAR

3 EXTENDED WARRANTY

3.1 TEFCOLD guarantees that, on delivery,:
3.1.1 with regard to all materials, the Goods delivered will conform with their description and any applicable specification; and
3.1.2 will be free of material defects in materials and workmanship.
3.2. Subject to condition 3.4, and during the chosen period of 12 or 24 months from the date of delivery (the "Warranty Period"):
3.2.1 If, within two weeks of discovery that some or all of the Goods are defective, the Purchaser notifies TEFCOLD of the fact in writing; and
3.2.2 TEFCOLD is given a reasonable opportunity to examine the Goods in question, and, subject to condition 3.3, TEFCOLD will repair or replace the defective parts.
3.3. Condition 3.2 of the warranty applies to spare parts only and does not cover:
3.3.1 manufacturing errors or cosmetic defects not notified at the time of delivery;
3.3.2 any claim regarding the call-out of a technician where either no defect or only a minor defect or defects that can be resolved locally using instruction manual, was/were ascertained; 
3.3.3 any work relating to refrigerant leakage unless the leak is traced before charging the system with the stated volume of refrigerant. If no refrigerant leak is traced, TEFCOLD must be notified; 
3.3.4 shelves, trays, handles, glass, batteries, paintwork, plastics, light bulbs, fluorescent tubes, fuses and gaskets if not claimed on delivery (see also 3.1.2 and 3.2.1); 
3.3.5 any permanent fitting of a piercing valve. The use of a schrader valve with cap and the use of a decant vac-pump and weighing machine to re-establish correct charge will only be covered if the Purchaser has obtained TEFCOLD’s prior written consent regarding such repairs; and
3.3.6 consumables and working parts.
3.4 TEFCOLD is not liable for the Goods' failure to comply with the warranty set out in condition 3.1. in any of the following circumstances:
3.4.1 The Purchaser makes any further use of such Goods after giving notice in accordance with condition 3.2; 
3.4.2 the fault occurred because the Purchaser failed to follow TEFCOLD’s instructions (verbal or in writing) regarding the storage, commissioning, installation, use and maintenance of the Goods. In such cases, the Purchaser is liable to ensure the exercise of good trading practices at the time of delivery or otherwise (if this was not the case); 
3.4.3 the defect arises as a result of TEFCOLD’s following any drawing, design or specification supplied by the Purchaser; 
3.4.4 the Purchaser has altered or repaired such Goods without TEFCOLD’s prior written consent; 
3.4.5 the defect arose as a result of wear and tear, wilful damage, negligence, or unsuitable storage or working conditions; or
3.4.6 the Goods differ from their description or any applicable specification as a result of changes made to ensure they comply with applicable statutory or regulatory requirements. 
3.5 Unless otherwise stated in this warranty declaration, TEFCOLD is not liable vis-à-vis the Purchaser if the Goods' fail to comply with the warranty set out in condition 3.1 and 3.2.
3.6 This warranty declaration will apply to any goods repaired or replaced and supplied by TEFCOLD.
